"What You Won't Do for Love" Jazz song

A Jazz song that represents the spirit of the novel: "What You Won't Do for Love" from Bobby Caldwell. I think this song could perfectly because it expresses love in the same way that Gatsby feels towards Daisy. For example when it says: “Some people go around the world for love, but they may never find what they dream of”, it clearly illustrates love as a dream, such as in the novel; a dream that it´s never found. But what the song mainly describes is the effort and the things a person is capable to do for love; just as Gatsby, most of the thing he does in the novel are because of Daisy; even though Daisy chooses Tom, Gatsby doesn’t quit, doesn’t surrender: “What you won't do, do for love You've tried everything but you don't give up”. Most of the lyrics show a part of Gatsby’s love, and that’s why I choose it.
